Michelle Rader
Michelle and her husband Jerry live in Mount Airy and have been part of Damascus Road Community Church as one of the founding members. They have five children, ages 8 -20 – Jacqui, Monique, Gavin, Gillian and Gabrielle. Michelle and Jerry own Corridor Mortgage Group, a mortgage lending firm which they founded in 2000. Both were students of Dr. Fredericks in college, where Michelle majored in English and Religion. Since then, Michelle has worked in the financial services industry, overseeing human resources and regulatory areas for several companies.
Michelle homeschools her youngest three children, and teaches in the Classical Conversations homeschool community in Ellicott City, MD. Michelle and Jerry are also involved in various mission projects of DRCC, including Mission Honduras and Mission India. Michelle’s passions are reading and growing in knowledge in the areas of theology, spirituality, psychology, global development, business leadership, sustainable agriculture, education, and healthful living. Her hobbies are cooking, knitting, gardening, horse back riding, running, and triathlons. Michelle and Jerry share the spiritual gifts of giving and hospitality, as the Lord presents opportunities. Additionally, Michelle’s individual spiritual gifts are knowledge and wisdom.
