Damascus Road - 10 Year Celebration

Children of all ages are called to help lead praise songs during our family service on Nov 11th. They’ve been practicing, and many children are familiar with the songs from children’s praise time. The children are so excited to be part of this special celebration! Click here for details.

Children's Schedule

Children and parents are urged to take advantage of our early check-in policy as soon as they arrive at church.  After confirming the parents I.D. at the Children’s Check-in table, your child will receive a fun, colorful stamp on their hand.  Each week will have a different stamp. 

When children are dismissed after praise time, parents can allow their child to proceed to their class with their stamped hand.  We will do a check as they pass to be sure they’ve been checked-in.  Parents never even need to leave their seats.  Unless you have young children, please take advantage of this speed check-in policy.

All students – even the student teachers – are required to be picked up by their parents or the adult who checked them in.

S.W.I.M. Camp is all about Sensational Worship in Motion for children each summer at Damascus Road.  

Top 10 reasons not to bring your children to our church

10.    Church is boring.

Not here!  We’ll have your kids laughing, clapping and learning in no time.

9.    I don’t want to dress up on the weekend.

Neither do we!  Come as you are.  No judgments here!

8.    I don’t know anyone there.

This is the friendliest church you’ll ever set foot in.  You’ll make so many new friends you’ll want to see them during the week!       

7.    My kids don’t like church.

Then you haven’t checked us out!  Your kids will experience upbeat fun music, stories, puppets and plays.  We even run our children’s program during the church service.  It won’t be long before they’ll wake you up early on Sunday mornings so you bring them.

6.    I need to get my act together first.

Nope.  Here’s the good news…Jesus loves you just the way you are!

5.    I don’t know how to pray.

If your last 2,000 prayers all ended with “and bless this food”, you probably want to check out the excitement of prayer.

4.    I haven’t been to church in years.

If the last 3 memories you have of church are of little lambs   and shepherds, you may want to consider coming more often.

3.    No one laughs in church.

We do!  If God throws a party, wouldn’t you like to be there?

2.    I want to relax on the weekends.

While we aren’t so relaxed that our choir wears bath robes and bunny slippers, we’re still very relaxed!
