Levels of Care

VOLUNTEER CHAPLAINS

Working with the Life Group ministry, our teams provide prayer, support, guidance, and encouragement during hospitalization, illness and tragedy.

The Volunteer Chaplains currently support the following ministries:

  • After Hours On Call Team
  • Celebrate Babies
  • Holiday Baskets
  • Soldier Support
  • Support during Illness and Loss
  • S.O.U.L. Food
  • Volunteer Chaplain Prayer Team

After Hours On Call Team

Outside of the church’s normal hours of operation the Volunteer Chaplains receive emergency calls at the Emergency After Hours Hotline: 800-645-0161.

During these emergencies, the on-call Volunteer Chaplain initiates care-giving, mobilizes resources, and informs the appropriate church leaders.

Leader: Michelle Vant

Celebrate Babies

We cherish our children and joyfully celebrate each new birth. We coordinate the Baby Dedication Service on Mother's Day and the on the second weekend of November.

Leader: Maureen Garlock

Holiday Baskets

Any of us could encounter unexpected financial hardship that would prevent us from eating a special dinner at Thanksgiving or having a gift for Christmas. If we are made aware of such a situation within our congregation or in our community, we provide the necessities for a holiday dinner and a gift for children at Christmas.

Leader: Ralph Wolfe

Soldier Support

We send cards and occasional gifts to members and/or children of members who serve our country through the military.

Leader: Brenda Wolfe

Support during Illness and Loss

When requested, this team coordinates spiritual support and prayer to people who are temporarily incapacitated at home or in the hospital or who may be experiencing isolation due to illness.

When tragedy or death occurs, the bereaved family needs church members to give emotional support, prayer, and if requested, a meal after the funeral service.

Leader: George Reese

S.O.U.L. Food

Serving Others United in Love

When requested, families celebrating a birth or who have experienced a death or incapacitating illness are lovingly provided with meals by members of our church.
