Mission Honduras Announcements

Hola Honduras Missionaries,

The June Mission Trip begins this Friday night, February 15, at 7 pm at the Church of the Nazarene in Gaithersburg just off of Brink Road at 8921 Warfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20882.

Bring your heart prepared to worship, build community with your fellow missionaries, listen to God, find out what it means to be a Honduras missionary in 2008 and what is new this year. Play grace ball, and believe it or not, even sleep. The backdrop to all of this will be fasting from food so that we may allow God to speak to us clearly. Juice will be available throughout the event.

As it was stated in your Missionary Packet and at the First Timer Orientation a Humility Retreat is mandatory for all missionaries because of the spiritual team building and informational aspect of it.

• The June Teams will meet from 7 pm Friday, February 15 through 5 pm on Saturday, February 16.
• The July Teams will meet from 9 am - 5 pm on Saturday, March 1 (Team members are encouraged to do the full food fast beginning at 7 pm Friday, February 29 on their own at home before joining with the rest of team on Sat morning.) Missionaries from the July Teams are encouraged to join the June Teams for praise and worship this Friday evening.

Please participate with your team if at all possible. If this is not possible, you will need to arrange your schedule to participate on the alternate date. If you have a problem participating with your team or attending the Retreat, it is very important that you communicate with me or Nancy Poist before missing an appointment.

I look forward to listening to God together and how we can be His hands and feet this summer.
