Pray for Orissa

As you may know, some radical elements have been wrecking havoc among Christians in Orissa where we partner with three orphanages. One of these orphanages was seriously threatened, but they got police protection and all of our kids are safe. For a background to this conflict, read this article on CNN.

Report from our field in Orissa, India received on Friday, September 5, 2008:

There has been some settling down of the systematic carnage, but Phulbani district where that swami was killed and the surrounding districts continue to burn hot against the Christians.  More than 100,000 Christians are either in the jungles or trying to take refuge in poorly run government camps.  They have lost everything.  The death toll is well over 200... something the government and media will suppress.

All our dream centers are fine... just a couple were actually attacked and we are beginning to assess the damage to property.  All our kids are traumatized, but otherwise fine.  Several of our dream centers are still closed.  Others may go back to School next Monday.
