Life Groups Leadership

Our leaders make a difference! LG leaders are Damascus Road members who are committed to seeing community happen at our church, where spiritual transformation and relationships are formed

If you would like to serve as a Life Group leader, please note the following and give us a call if you feel you meet the requirements.

1. Sincere, worthy of respect, and of a good reputation
2. Be a Damascus Road church member for at least one year
3. Have a genuine desire to serve and minister to other people
4. Able to lead, motivate, and teach other people
5. Able to create positive group dynamics, and deal with conflict resolution within the group

1. Be a member of Damascus Road for at least one year
2. Attend the initial Life Group Leadership Orientation
3. Meet with Rajendra Pillai for an initial meeting.

1. Attend regularly scheduled leadership training.
2. Pray for and coordinate Life Group meeting to include one or more of the following: Worship, Prayer, Bible Study, &/or Testimonies.
3. Pray daily for everyone in your Life Group.
4. Be a "life coach" to your Life Group members, developing them into future leaders.
5. Provide a supportive atmosphere in which Life Group members are able to discover and develop their spiritual gifts.
6. Identify and mentor assistant leaders in order to enable them in their ministries.
7. Maintain unity by representing the core values and theology of Damascus road Community Church.
8. Be open to coaching from church leaders and provide highlights and concerns about your life group regularly.
9. Unless specified, welcome new people into the group anytime during the semester.
10. Encourage members to invite people who are outside the church.
11. Model servant leadership.
