Weekly Update from the Senior Pastor
November 22, 2006
Dear Family and Friends,
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now—being confident of this: that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3-6
I could never have said it better. I love you, my modern day Philippians! Keep on, for God will.
This Thanksgiving, as you enjoy good food and good football, take time to pray with gratitude from the heart.
Then take a few minutes once the meal has started to go around the table and each share one thing you are genuinely thankful for. This whole holiday began with a group of folks thanking God that they were alive after a brutal first winter and a first bountiful harvest. Let’s remember their spirit.
I’ll see you this Sunday. We have great news of encouragement in preparation for December 3rd as the day we all together determine to find our part in following God’s heart to our future.
Enjoy the turkey! See you Sunday.
Richard
