Weekly Update from the Senior Pastor
April 25 , 2007
The ending of anything matters far more than how it begins!
That is true of your life. It is equally true of everything that has value in your life.
Yet beginnings also matter. When a life or a dream begins well, with God’s favor and human integrity, the odds soar for a great ending.
This journey began when this congregation determined to give up things that we value, for something we love even more = being part of a generation who build home base for a prevailing Christian community that seriously lives out Acts 1:8: “When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be My witnesses in [Damascus-Mt Airy], in the [Tri-County area] and to the ends of the earth [Honduras, India and Africa—for starters].
What we are really building is not a brick and mortar dream, but a thriving church community that turns houses containing empty lives, heading for a Christ-less eternity, into Homes of Light fueled by the Power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
