Dear Family and Friends,
THIS SUNDAY: July 1, 2007
As long as our congregation has existed, we have made our 4th of July Sunday worship service a high day, celebrating our freedom in Christ and exploring how the Christian faith forged and shaped our nation.
I love this celebration, this annual reminder of why we have the freedoms and strength we do as a nation.
This Sunday will be no exception. There will be beauty in music and images, powerful dramatic readings and a journey through our history with an eye on how the truths of the Bible bed-rocked every aspect of our nation. It will be a visual and auditory feast for the heart and head.
It is a great day to invite a friend, and to renew your gratitude and fortitude for keeping the flame of living faith in Jesus alive in your life and home and community.
