Update on Richard
Richard’s surgery went well and he is recovering. He will be discharged from the hospital today and then needs to rest. Both Richard and Sallie are very grateful for your prayers. The elders will continue to be in regular touch with Richard.
We can all support Richard in the following ways:
- Continue to pray for him.
- Richard needs to rest. Instead of contacting him directly, feel free to send cards of encouragement to the church office or email it to damascus@damascus.com and we will send it to him.

Coming up…
- Tomorrow, the elders are leading us on a fast and then will meet on the land at 6:45 PM for an hour of prayer. If you can, please join us.
- This Sunday, I will be preaching a message on what happens when we get fully engaged in the adventure God has already called us to.
- This Sunday, we will also have a congregational meeting following the service (we’ll end the service early so the kids can remain in Children’s Ministry while we meet)
- Our Ten-Year Celebration will be on November 4 and 11. We’ll party over two Sundays rejoicing at God’s faithfulness and blessings. There will also be a congregational luncheon on the 11th. Watch for more details!
Friends, these are exciting times. God never calls us to anything He won’t lead us through. Our job is to get in sync with His plan. And when we do, amazing things happen. So come this Sunday with holy expectancy!
