Confirmation Class for 5th Graders

DRCC is excited to once again offer a confirmation class for all 5th grade students! The class is designed to help students grow in their faith, get to know other 5th graders, and make the transition to youth ministry. Led by the Elders and Pastors of DRCC, students will be challenged to go deeper in their faith. Any 5th grader that successfully completes this class will be confirmed as a junior member of DRCC.

 

In order to successfully complete the confirmation program, students will need to attend or complete the 9 required confirmation classes. The last two sessions are optional, but we would encourage everyone to show up on 4/16 as the 5th graders are invited to check out Youth Ministry!

 

Class Day/Times: Sunday from 6-7:30pm*

 

Dates: January 29 - April 16 (Note: there will be no class on 4/9 with it being Easter Sunday.)

 

Where: You have two options to select from! 1) In person course @ DRCC led by DRCC Pastors & Elders OR

 

2) At home course facilitated by the parent or guardian using the materials provided by the DRCC instructors.

Did your child miss one of the required confirmation classes? Be sure to complete the class with them at home no later than the Friday after the missed class. These at-home classes are designed to be led by the parent using the materials provided. Click on the correct link below to access the class materials.

SAVE the DATE for Confirmation Weekend!

All 5th graders who complete the confirmation experience will be confirmed as junior members of DRCC during both worship services on Sunday, April 30th.

 

The Optional Family Bible Studies and the $100 Amazon gift card drawing!

 

Complete 1 or more of the Family Bible studies on biblical marriage, women in leadership, and/or sanctity of life with your 5th grader. Return the completed Bible study form by Sunday, 3/19 for your child's name to be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card! If your student completes 2 or 3 of these studies with you, then their name will be entered into the drawing 2 or 3 times (increasing their chances of winning)!
