psalms bible challenges
Updated: Dec 22, 2020

Encourage your child to participate in a new series of Bible challenges focused on the book of Psalms!
Here's what you need to know....
Who is eligible? Primarily K-5th grade students, however, parents of older PreK students can opt to have their kids participate if they would like!
What is the order of the challenges?
January: Psalm 23, a classic
February: Psalm 91:1-6 & 14-15, God will protect His people even during a plague!
March: Psalm 139:1-16, each life is precious in God’s sight, even the unborn!
April: Psalm 51: 1-12, turning to God for forgiveness
May: Psalm 103:1-8, God is slow to anger & abounding in love
June: Psalm 118:21-29, verse 22 is actually talking about Jesus!
More flexibility this year:
A new challenge will be released each month. While we will encourage kids to complete each challenge by the end of the month, they will have until June 30, 2021 to complete all of them! Kids can choose to do as many or as few of the challenges as they would like.
How can I help my child complete a Bible challenge?
First, go through the prepared Family Bible Study with your child
Then have your child memorize & recite some of the key verses for you Note: the number of verses to memorize depends on the child’s age and kids are not asked to memorize the whole section. Don’t worry, it’s doable!
Finally, let us know your child completed the Family Bible study & memorized their key verses by filling out 1 online completion form per challenge
Prizes:
Kids will earn a different prize for each challenge they complete!
In addition, any student who does ALL 6 of the bible challenges by June 30th will receive a special end of the year award or prize!
Optional videos:
Parents will have the option of posting a video of their child memorizing their key verses in the “DRCC Kidventure at Home” facebook group. But this is not required in order to complete a bible challenge!
Details will be coming soon on the first challenge of 2021 – Psalm 23! Be sure to check the Kidventure Korner blog @ www.damascus.com/kidventure-korner.
