WHAT TO EXPECT

We are excited about having more seats available - both indoors and outdoors - for the Sunday worship services in addition to a children’s program for kids, ages birth through 5th grade, at both the 9:30am and 11:15am service. We are following CDC safety guidelines and Frederick County mandates so please note our approach to weekend services:

  • Seat reservations for indoor and lawn seats are no longer needed. The outdoor venue contains a 16 foot LED screen - bring your lawn chair and sunscreen!

  • Per Frederick County, masks are no longer mandated but should still be worn by people with symptoms of COVID-19, a positive COVID-19 test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19. Additionally, people may still choose to wear a mask at any time based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk.

  • Social distancing will no longer be in effect indoors.

CHILDREN'S

PROGRAM

We're excited to offer DR KIDS, our children's program for children ages 18 months through 5th grade, for the in-person Sunday 9:30am and 11:15am gatherings.  A fully staffed nursery is also available for children ages birth thru 17 months.

Masks are not currently required indoors, per a Frederick County.

Check-in is now in the Children's Ministry hallway using the kiosks.  Members of the Children's Ministry Welcome Team will be on-hand if you require assistance.

SPECIAL NEEDS & youth ministries

There will be no in-person Haven (our ministry for those with special needs) on Sundays at this time, but a great online option and Saturday in-person meetings are available. Middle and High School will meet at their regularly scheduled days/times in person  with appropriate safety protocols in practice.

WHAT DRCC IS DOING

  • Volunteers attest to the CDC health guidelines (attesting they’re not sick, haven’t been exposed to anyone with COVID, etc.)

  • All contact surfaces and bathrooms are sanitized before and after services

  • Hand sanitizer stations outside and in the lobby

  • UV lights and air scrubbers installed in air duct system

  • Per Frederick County, masks are currently not mandated but should still be worn by people with symptoms of COVID-19, a positive COVID-19 test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19. Additionally, people may still choose to wear a mask at any time based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Do not attend if you’re sick, have a fever or have been exposed to anyone within 14 days who might have COVID (have an outstanding COVID test or have been diagnosed).

  • Each weekend after the service, join us outside on the patio for refreshments and fellowship except in inclement weather.

  • Please help us guard our church community’s well-being by notifying Debbie Lawrence, Director of Operations, at DebbieL@damascus.com  if you or a family member test positive for Covid19 after recently attending a DRCC event.
