ABOUT dr kids

In Children’s Ministry, our focus is on raising up a generation of lifelong disciples for Jesus Christ. In order to do this, we partner with and equip parents.

The Children’s Ministry weekend program is offered during the Sunday morning adult worship service at 10am. Your child will feel welcomed and experience the love of Christ, learn more about God and His Word, and receive next steps for going deeper in their walk with God.

We offer a safe and loving environment for infants and toddlers. In Pre-k, every child will experience a dynamic Bible lesson using our 'Grow' curriculum. Currently our nursery for 0-23 months is unstaffed but offers a comfortable place for parents and their babies.

Little people are a big deal to God! Here at Damascus Road Community Church, we recognize that your child was part of God’s plan from the beginning of time. It is our goal to help your child discover his/her purpose in His plan.

Your child is important to us.

On your first visit, please stop by our Welcome Desk so your child can receive a gift from us. Please have the following information ready for our secure check-in system: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child.

Reaching those with disabilities

The Haven is a community where everyone is welcomed: children, teens and adults with disabilities, along with their families and friends. The entire family is encouraged to participate, learn, have fun and share life together. In God's eyes, we are all God's special people with needs.

During the COVID-19 restrictions, join us on Facebook each Saturday at 4 pm for a simple, life-changing message taught through adaptive teaching techniques using a Jesus-centered, interactive approach. The Haven desires to actively facilitate the inclusion of individuals with disabilities into other church programs as appropriate.  Search DRCC Haven to find us on Facebook and ask to join the private group.

For more information about HAVEN, contact our Director of Special Needs Ministry:

Your child’s safety is one of our top priorities. All volunteers pass a background check to ensure your child’s safety. We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.

We believe that every child is uniquely wired

and wonderfully made by God.

Every week new families are calling Damascus Road their church home. This means we have the joyful and crucial opportunity to invest the love and truth of Christ into more young minds and hearts.

Our volunteers in DR KIDS serve during the weekend worship service in areas such as greeting, teaching, check-in and clean-up.
