ABOUT drkids

In Children’s Ministry, our focus is on raising up a generation of lifelong disciples for Jesus Christ. In order to do this, we partner with and equip parents.

The Children’s Ministry weekend program is offered during the Sunday morning adult worship service at both 9:30am and 11:15am. Your child will feel welcomed and experience the love of Christ, learn more about God and His Word, and receive next steps for going deeper in their walk with God.

We offer a safe and loving environment for infants and toddlers. In both our Pre-k and elementary classes, every child will experience a dynamic Bible lesson using our 'Gospel Project' curriculum. We also offer a fully staffed nursery for children 0-17 months.

Little people are a big deal to God! Here at Damascus Road Community Church, we recognize that your child was part of God’s plan from the beginning of time. It is our goal to help your child discover his/her purpose in His plan.

Sunday Virtual Small Groups

Your child is important to us.

On your first visit, please stop by the DRKIDS Welcome booth (currently located outside near the front double-doors during renovations to the west wing of the building) so your child can receive a gift from us. Please have the following information ready for our secure check-in system: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child.

Reaching those with disabilities

Haven is a community where everyone is welcome: children, teens and adults with disabilities, along with their families and friends. The entire family is encouraged to participate, learn, have fun and share life together.

Haven Friends Live meets in-person every other week on Saturdays from 5:00-6:15 in the gym.  The students will enjoy crafts, games, music, and a simple, life-changing message taught through adaptive teaching techniques using a Jesus-centered, interactive approach. Upcoming Haven Friends Live: Jan 28, Feb 11 & 25.

About once a month, families and students are invited to stay after for pizza and a time of just hanging out at Haven Hangout from 6:15-7:30pm! Upcoming Hangouts: Feb 11 & March 11 (5-7pm). Please RSVP to attend to help us plan for food.

On alternate Saturdays, you can join us for
Haven Friends Zoom at 4pm using this Zoom Link. This is online only. Upcoming Zoom meetings are: Jan 21, Feb 4, Feb 18.

Haven Social is intended to be an outreach activity for older teens (15+) and adults with cognitive disabilities to come enjoy pizza, crafts and games while meeting others in the community.  Haven Socials will begin in April.

The Haven Ministry also desires to actively facilitate the inclusion of individuals with disabilities into other church programs as appropriate.  Beginning March 5, we will transition to meeting in-person on Sunday mornings during the 11:15am service in Cottage B on campus. Please RSVP and let us know your child will be attending.

Your child’s safety is one of our top priorities. All volunteers pass a background check to ensure your child’s safety. We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.

A Safe Place

We believe that every child is uniquely wired

and wonderfully made by God.

Every week new families are calling Damascus Road their church home. This means we have the joyful and crucial opportunity to invest the love and truth of Christ into more young minds and hearts.

Our volunteers in DRKIDS serve during the weekend worship service in areas such as greeting, teaching, check-in and clean-up.
