- Week #3In Weekly ChallengesApril 24, 2024It's week #3 of Life on the Porch! So, how are you doing? Have you made any connections this week? Asking God to open opportunities for you to connect with others - being a vehicle of His love - is a great place to start 😊. This week I was able to connect with a guy who power washed our decks, the pizza delivery girl and our Instacart delivery person. Just offering a friendly, "how's your day going?" and a smile is enough! Now, I have 3 new connections to pray for! How about you? Where have you experienced opportunities to connect this week?10
- Week #2In Weekly ChallengesApril 16, 2024Just heard of a creative way of building connections! Have you heard of the Turquoise Table? It's where you put an ordinary picnic table in your front yard, paint it turquoise and invite neighbors, friends, and even strangers to hang out and do life together. Today, there are Turquoise Tables all across America from California to Maine. In all fifty states and in thirteen countries, Turquoise Tables have become a symbol of hospitality, a safe place to sit down and connect over a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea. - Week #4In Weekly ChallengesApril 29, 2024Just yesterday I got together with 3 young mom's/friends in our neighborhood. It was a great afternoon of connecting and getting to know each other better, without the kids around. :) We're already looking forward to our next outing together. We also recently had neighbors over for a meal. We were out for a walk and chatting with them when I just said, come on over for dinner tomorrow! It was a great time of sharing a meal, letting the kids hang out and connecting.00
